Basic policy for protecting personal information (Privacy Policy)
Mitsuoka Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Mitsuoka") fully recognizes the importance of the protection of personal inforamtion, and handles personal information with meticulous care.
In order to remain a company trusted by customers, Mitsuoka hereby opens the basic policy for protecting personal information of Mitsuoka to the public.
1. Unless otherwise consents of customers, Mitsuoka will not use personal information that Mitsuoka retains for any purposes other than the purposes provided below;
1) To provide customers with information concerning services, such as a notice of a regular inspection, a legal inspection and an expiration date of an insurance by sending them print materials and by telephone, visit, email, etc. To carry out other after services or to comply with requests from customers.
2) To inform customers of products, services (including on-line services), several events or campaigns that Mitsuoka group of companies handle by sending them print materials and by telephone, visit, email, etc.
3) To use personal information for performing works as as an agent of insurance companies, such as providing a damage insurance, a life insurance and services incidental or related to these insurances. Usage of personal information and privacy policy of the insurance companies that consigne such insurance works to Mitsuoka is indicated in each company's website.
4) To conduct questionnaire surveys for studies of product development or improving customer satisfaction by sending customers print materials and by telephone, visit, email, etc.
5) To use personal information of a customer and a joint surety for their credit inquiries and checks within required limits.
6) To provide cutomers' personal information in writing or by electronic media to Mitsuoka's group companies and affiliates, manufacturers/distributors of the products that Mitsuoka handles. However, Mitsuoka will stop provision of information to the third parties upon a customer's request, when personal identification procedure is completed.
2. Unless otherwise just reasons, Mitsuoka will not provide any third parties with customers' personal information other than the parties regulated above. However, Mitsuoka may provide the third party with customers' personal information without consents of customers when requiring emergency in order to protect people's life, bodies or properties, when it is necessary to cooperate in the requests based on the statute by pubic institutions, such as the judicial authorities and the police, or when based on the Japan statute.
Mitsuoka takes responsible for shared use of customers' personal information. However, Mitsuoka does not take any responsibilities for protecting personal information in the pages linked from the websites of the group companies of Mitsuoka.
3. Mitsuoka responds to customers' requests for disclosures, amendments, etc. of their own personal information by presentation of the documents that Mitsuoka defines.
Those who request the disclosure are required to prepare for ID. (Driver's license, etc.) 1,000 yen for each disclosure request will be charged as a disclosure request handling charge. With regards to personal information that is retained by insurance companies that Mitsuoka transacts with, Mitsuoka will forward it to the company concerned.
4. Mitsuoka will strictly observe the Japan statute, regulations, etc. related to the protection of personal information.
5. Mitsuoka will put in place the proper safety control measures in order to prevent disclosure, alteration, loss, etc. of customers' personal information.
6. Regarding the handling of personal information, Mitsuoka will inspect periodically and always strive for a continuous improvement.
